Alexa Bliss was forced to temporarily lock her Twitter account after being attacked for comments she made regarding Murphy's storyline with Aalyah Mysterio on RAW.

WWE have been teasing a romantic relationship between 'The Disciple' and Mysterio's 19-year-old daughter in recent weeks.

On Monday's episode of RAW, Seth Rollins shared friendly 'text messages' sent between the pair to anger Rey as part of the angle.

WWE's official Twitter account then posted the same screenshot, which Bliss quote tweeted with the caption: 'honestly I don't blame him lol #ShootYourShotBud'.

Bliss has since deleted the tweet

The three-time women's champion, who now performs on SmackDown, received a lot of negative responses due to the age difference between Murphy, 32 and Aalyah, 19.

It was that backlash that caused Bliss to temporarily lock her Twitter account, but she has now reactivated it to respond to the trolls.

The WWE star - whose real name is Lexi Kaufman - hit back with a series of tweets.

The messages were part of an angle on RAW

"Getting attacked for writing about a show y’all are watching anyway. Try to make one comment supporting my ex & now I’m the bad guy," she wrote, before following up with:

"Do I know her or her age? No. Was I trying to be supportive of Murphy? Yes. Back off and calm down ppl. Just happy Murphy is getting the success he’s worked for. That’s all, be bothered by something else."

Despite Bliss facing backlash from trolls over the age gap between Murphy and Aalyah, it doesn't look like this WWE storyline is going away soon.

Following Rollins exposing the 'text messages' on RAW, his disciple went one-on-one with Dominik Mysterio and the match ended with Aalyah distracting her brother, allowing Murphy to pick up the win.
