When you've got to go, you've got to go.

They were the words of Eric Dier on Tuesday night who left the pitch at the most random of moments.

No, he hadn't been sent off. Instead, it was merely a case of needing the toilet as the defender dashed off the pitch in the hope of finding an available loo.

It was all in good humour, and the moment will now be remembered fondly, particularly after Tottenham went through in the Carabao Cup.

Spurs were without Heung-min Son but that didn't appear to matter as they overcome a struggling Chelsea side on penalties.

The EFL Cup represents a fabulous opportunity for the north Londoners to win a trophy and they have already received their fair share of luck when it comes to this competition.

They were given a bye into the next round at the expense of Leyton Orient.

Jose Mourinho

New signing Sergio Reguilon made his debut on Tuesday evening but we're still yet to see Gareth Bale who won't be back from injury until mid-October.

That said, some more excitement could still happen at Spurs before the window is said and done.

That's because they remain in the hunt for a striker.

The latest, according to Fabrizio Romano, is that Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik has been offered to Tottenham once again.

Spurs have been chasing the striker for a considerable period of time and it was revealed by GIVEMESPORT earlier this summer, that he could head to London as part of a swap deal.

That didn't happen, and it now looks as though Napoli will settle for a straight transfer fee.

Transfermarkt value the Poland international at £28.8m. Hardly cheap.

Arek Milik

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawsons says...

One of Tottenham's primary objectives this summer was to sign a new striker.

Mourinho wants one and it's clear to see why. Without Harry Kane, Spurs struggle and that's something that's happened all too often in the last two seasons.

The Englishman has missed 33 matches during that time, so signing someone to play second fiddle is certainly a good idea.

Spurs have been linked with a plethora of options too. Christian Benteke and Troy Deeney have been touted at times, but no choice has been more impressive than Milik.

Milik penalty shoot-out

Described as "sensational" by Carlo Ancelotti when he was still in charge at Napoli, he has scored 48 times in 122 matches for the Serie A outfit.

It's certainly no surprise, therefore, to see Italian journalists, such as Bruno Longhi praise him. He once claimed Milik could do "wonderful things with the ball."

The problem is, though, that the Pole doesn't want to be second best to Kane - he wants to be the main man.

However, with just a week left of the current window, he may have to settle for that if he wants a big move. Either Spurs jump at the opportunity to sign him, or they scrape the bottom of the barrel in the remaining days for someone else.
