Victor Orta has undoubtedly been one of the busiest men in world football this summer.

He has already had one of the greatest tasks he's ever embarked on, preparing Leeds United for their first assault on the Premier League for 16 years.

Over the course of the summer, 11 signings have been made, and that could only increase before the window shuts.

Leeds may have won two of their opening three matches, but that hasn't stopped them from being active in the window.

A deal to sign Michael Cuisance from Bayern Munich is very nearly wrapped up and you sense that another attacking player could walk through the door before the market closes.

Rodrigo de Paul is now looking unlikely with a winger, rather than a number 10, at the height of their priorities.

Dan James has re-emerged on Leeds' radar and if they fail in their pursuit of the Manchester United attacker, they could target Ryan Kent again.

However, a further winger has now been touted with a potential switch to Elland Road.

According to Football Insider, Leeds could be forced to drop further down their shortlist and as a result, they're now targeting a move for Vitoria Guimaraes youngster Marcus Edwards.

The 21-year-old used to play for Spurs and was even linked with a shock return to north London earlier in the window.

That didn't happen, and now Leeds are at the front of the queue to bring him back to England.

Bielsa is keen to add another flanker to his squad but it's not yet known how much he'd cost.

Transfermarkt value the English starlet at £11.7m.

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

This would certainly be an eye-catching signing, and it's rather unsurprising that Leeds are targeting yet another young player.

After all, they've decided to bolster their squad and academy with a number of rising stars of the game.

Edwards, however, would be one of the most impressive signings yet from the crop of youngsters they've added.

Despite failing to make the grade at Spurs, he's come on leaps and bounds in Portugal at Vitoria.

He found the back of the net on nine occasions last term, while also producing nine assists for his teammates.

Marcus Edwards

It was a fabulous campaign for a player who has been described as having "lightning-quick feet" by Sky Sports.

For that alone, he has become one of the most dangerous players in the Portuguese top-flight. Last season he completed 3.4 successful dribbles a match.

That's a remarkable tally and puts him some way ahead of anyone in the current Leeds squad. In 2019/20, Jack Harrison was their top dribbler but only managed 1.8 per game.

Edwards, therefore, would add a different dimension to Bielsa's side.
