Finishers are by far the most important aspect of a professional wrestlers move set.

You could be an accomplished athlete, have a brilliant character or a great gimmick, but without a devastating finishing move, you'll be little more than a jobber.

Just look at the likes of The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H - all of those legends ended their matches with swift and iconic motions.

'Rock Bottom! Rock Bottom!' the commentators would shout as 'The Great One' drilled his opponent into the canvas - and the same goes for The Pedigree or Stone Cold's Stunner.

Over the years, we've seen some devastating finishers in WWE. But who truly has the greatest?

Well, that's completely open to interpretation, depending on your own views. But here at GIVEMESPORT, we've decided to rank 20 of our favourite.

So let's get into it.

Sweet Chin Music features on the list

20. Jackhammer | Used by Goldberg

We might look back on Goldberg's most recent WWE run with disdain, given he was holding the Universal title at the age of 53 for no apparent reason. But his finisher is still one of the best.

19. Sharpshooter | Used by Bret Hart, Sting & Natalya

Another iconic move. Was there anything more beautiful than seeing someone like Bret Hart or Sting nearly bend their opponent in half?

18. Flying Elbow | Used by Macho Man Randy Savage

Randy Savage flying through the air to drop an elbow on his opponent was another beautiful sight. His finisher was iconic, there's no denying that.

17. F5 | Used by Brock Lesnar

This one is more brutal than beautiful and damn, Brock Lesnar is effective. Very few survive being thrown face-first into the canvas. It's almost a guaranteed pinfall whenever The Beast uses his F5.

16. Walls of Jericho I Used by Chris Jericho

Another iconic move used only by Y2J. What made this one so great is that his opponents were always able to sell the submission hold very well.

Y2J loved the Walls of Jericho

15. Ankle lock | Used by Ken Shamrock and Kurt Angle

Now, this one was incredibly simple... and built up to be incredibly painful. After all, having your ankle snapped in two can't be very fun, can it?

14. Styles Clash | Used by AJ Styles

The Styles Clash is a thing of dangerous beauty. The fact AJ can safely perform it day in, day out is testament to him and we'll never forget the time he saved James Ellsworth from serious injury by adjusting his landing in midair.

13. Mandible Claw | Used by Mankind and The Fiend

We're ranking this one so high because The Fiend uses it to perfection. Mick Foley's Mr Socko was good, but it's got nothing on Bray Wyatt's creepy rendition.

12. Curb Stomp | Used by Seth Rollins

Rollins went through a range of finishers after his Curb Stomp was initially banned. He used the Ripcord Knee and even Triple H's Pedigree. But neither suited him as much as the stomp.

11. Frog Splash | Used by Eddie Guerrero and Rob Van Dam

Another simple but effective finishing move. Who doesn't love to see a superstar diving off the top rope to squash their opponent? Rob Van Dam's Five-star Frog Splash was even more exciting.

The Frog splash is iconic

10. Swanton Bomb | Used by Jeff Hardy

Every time we see Hardy attempt the Swanton Bomb, we're praying he rotates his body enough to avoid breaking his neck. His Swanton onto a ladder at Clash of Champions was particularly scary.

9. Attitude Adjustment | Used by John Cena

Similar to Lesnar's F5, John Cena loves to launch his opponent from his shoulders to the canvas. We're ranking this one in the top 10 because the 16-time world champ has had some iconic moments with his finish.

8. Spear | Used by Roman Reigns, Goldberg and Edge

This isn't a superstar specific finisher and plenty have made the Spear their own over the years. It's simple and effective and over the years, has been one of the most protected moves in WWE.

7. Jackknife Powerbomb | Used by Kevin Nash

Man, this one is brutal. Kevin Nash absolutely loved driving his opponents' back into the mat from seven-feet in the air.

6. Tombstone Piledriver | Used by The Undertaker

The most brutal version of the piledriver is Undertaker's own. If your head ever ends up between The Deadman's thighs, you're in big trouble.

The Undertaker's Tombstone is deadly

5. The Pedigree | Used by Triple H

Easily one of the most iconic moves in WWE history. Triple H's Pedigree was booked as one of the most powerful finishers in pro wrestling - but that's hardly surprising, considering you're going face-first into the mat.

4. RKO/Diamond Cutter | Used by Randy Orton and DDP

Diamond Dallas Page made the cutter popular, but Randy Orton perfected it with his own twist. After all, he now owns the three most iconic letters in WWE... R K O.

3. Rock Bottom | Used by The Rock

Combined with the 'People's Elbow', this is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment.

2. Sweet Chin Music | Used by Shawn Michaels

WWE is full of superkick variations these days, but HBK's Sweet Chin Music was the best there ever was and the best there ever will be. Don't even try to change our mind.

1. Stone Cold Stunner | Used by Steve Austin

There wasn't ever going to be anything else topping this list, was there?

Stone Cold's Stunner takes top spot

So there we have it, 20 of GIVEMESPORT's favourite finishing moves ranked.
