The Jadon Sancho to Manchester United saga is set to dominate the remaining days of the 2020 summer transfer window.

It's been common knowledge for some time now that Sancho is eager to move back to England after emerging as one of the world's finest players at Borussia Dortmund.

However, the 20-year-old will not force a move away from the German giants and instead, the ball has been in United's court to meet Dortmund's valuation of £108m.

They've been reluctant to do so up until now, but the tide may be turning, as Sancho himself is convinced his move to Old Trafford will be secured before deadline day.

What is more, sources close to the long-running saga believe a deal can now be agreed for around £95m, £13m less than Dortmund's initial asking price.

Sancho in action

As reported by The Sun, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident he will land his number one target and the German side are now resigned to losing their star winger.

One source said: "He [Sancho] wants this deal done. He's told his agent and various advisors to do all they can to make it happen.

"They are pushing for him."

It's on, United fans, but another source has confirmed that both United and Dortmund are still locked in a bit of a stand-off.

Will United pay up for Sancho?

"There's a bit of a stand off going on. It's a case of who blinks first," the source said. "Will United up the offer or will Dortmund accept a lower bid?"

You feel given the criticism aimed at United's business this transfer window that those at the top will make a substantial bid for Sancho in the coming days.

If they do so and it's around the £95m mark, it'd be a surprise to see Dortmund turn down such an offer in these financially troubling times.
