It's going to be a very exciting week for Tottenham Hotspur.

The north London side have enjoyed an excellent transfer window so far as they look to improve on last term.

A sixth place finish was respectable considering the various off-field factors at play, but this season has to bring an improvement.

Jose Mourinho is working hard to make his mark on the squad, and has brought in several players to help him do that.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty arrived from Southampton, Burnley and Wolves respectively, while a stunning double deal for Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale was also completed.

But Spurs aren't finished yet.

As well as a centre-back, Tottenham are being widely linked with a move for a striker.

Every man and his dog has been linked with a move to north London, one of whom is Arkadiusz Milik.

The Napoli striker faces an uncertain future with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.

Reports have consistently linked Spurs with a move for the 26-year-old, but according to Alasdair Gold of Football London there are still doubts over whether he's the man for them.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Gold said: "Milik’s a strange one, I get asked about him regularly.

"If you look in the media, Milik is being offered to any club pretty much going.

“He was meant to go to Roma and then it all collapsed very late on. There was lots of speculation [as to] why it collapsed. Since that moment, a lot of clubs have been offered him.

“Spurs, as I understand it, are very undecided over a move for him now.

“It’s a strange situation and I can understand people want him to come, but I think, maybe have a little closer look at that situation and ask yourselves why he’s now being touted to so many different clubs.

“Who knows, Spurs may circle back around and look at him again, but very much undecided from what I was hearing on him.”

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Tottenham's striker search looks like it's going to rumble on until the final knockings of the transfer window.

So many players have been linked with a move, but so far no one stands out as a prime target for the club.

With games coming thick and fast, it's in the club's best interests to get a deal done as soon as possible.

Harry Kane isn't able to play every game, and with that it means that Mourinho is having to play people out of position to fill that gap.

Arkadiusz Milik is one option that could appeal, but it seems strange that no deal has yet been agreed.

Tottenham may just be biding their time, but they will need to move soon if they're to ensure that they aren't left in the lurch once the transfer window shuts.
