Bayern Munich have won the German Super Cup following a 3-2 win against Borussia Dortmund. The reigning Bundesliga champions were pegged back from 2-0 down but with the full-time whistle approaching, Joshua Kimmich popped up with an astonishing goal to hand Hansi Flick's side the win.Goals from Corentin Tolisso and Thomas Muller handed Bayern a 2-0 lead in the first half but Julian Brandt scored minutes before half-time to get Dortmund back into the match. And Erling Haaland made it 2-2 in the 55th minute to set up a tense finish. However, the game was decided when Kimmich scored in the 82nd minute with an astonishing finish that requires some explaining.p1ejgdfhaebe7ne01iun2ds1ahb9.jpgThe 25-yard burst forward after winning the ball in midfield before playing a one-two with Robert Lewandowski. His initial effort was saved by Marwan Hitz in the Dortmund goal, but when the ball rebounded back to Kimmich he somehow dinked the ball up and over Hitz from the floor. It was some finish.

Did he mean that?

We're going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Kimmich clearly aims his left foot at the ball after it came back to him, it was just a case of whether he would have the precision and power to get it to goal.

He did, and the ball looped into the back of the net.

Still, fans couldn't quite understand how he did it.

Bayern's latest triumph means they have now won five trophies in the calendar year.

They've captured the Bundesliga, German Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the German Super Cup.

For many, 2020 has been a naff year. Not Bayern.

"It was not that easy especially in the second half. We led 2-0 but then made our own life difficult," said Bayern coach Hansi Flick about Wednesday's game, per ESPN.

"What counts is that we won the game. Everything else we will need to do better on Sunday [against Hertha]."
