Les Parry remains hopeful that he will remain Tranmere boss next season.

Parry's current one-year contract expires in the summer but he is due to speak to chairman Peter Johnson about a new deal.

The former physio has performed an impressive job as Rovers boss and guided the club to safety again this season. Parry said: "I had a chat with the chairman about the players, pre-season arrangements and other things.

"We decided we would get next Saturday's game out of the way and then sit down and thrash out my own future.

"I'm not taking it for granted that I will be here because the chairman may be thinking of other things. But I would like to think I will be here."
