Tottenham Hotspur have arguably had the best transfer window in the Premier League.In Jose Mourinho's first summer in charge of the north London club he's seen an impressive five first team players arrive at Hotspur Way.Those deals have been for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon and of course, Gareth Bale.The moves for Hojbjerg, Hart and Doherty were solid, yet unspectacular deals by Tottenham's standards, however the double deal with Real Madrid was a game-changer.Mourinho has been tasked with securing Champions League football this season and signing players such as Reguilon and Bale will be a huge step in the right direction to achieving that objective.But supporters know that they need more.As well as the much-publicised need for another striker to join the club as competition for Harry Kane, Tottenham need a centre-back.The club are short of quality after Jan Vertonghen's decision to leave the club at the end of their contract, and that's why this is such a focus.
Milan Skriniar is regarded as the club's primary target as they look to strike a deal with Inter Milan for the Slovakian international.But it seems that a target has been identified that is much closer to home.Reports have claimed that Tottenham are plotting a move for Antonio Rudiger.The Chelsea man has fallen out of favour under Frank Lampard and looks set to move on before the end of the transfer window.But that interest has now intensified with renowned journalist Nicolo Schiro claiming that Spurs have made an official loan offer with the option to make it permanent.
Taking to Twitter, Schilo said: "Tottenham have made an official bid to Chelsea for Toni Rudiger on loan with option to buy.
"Talks ongoing."

Tottenham Hotspur are desperate to sign a new central defender this summer with the focus being on someone who can hit the ground running.
Antonio Rudiger certainly seems to fit the bill.
Valued at £36million by Transfermarkt with 31 international caps for Germany, the Chelsea man would be a great addition.
Rudiger's future looks set to lie away from Stamford Bridge and so a move seems like a certainty.
Providing that Chelsea are happy to let him leave for a rival, this could be an ideal move for all parties.
