Every FIFA fan knows that building a team of overpowered players is essential to achieving success on Ultimate Team.

Forget the 88-rated winger with 69 pace, you need that 79-rated beast with 95 pace to strike fear into opposing players.

So with FIFA 21 Ultimate Team up and running, we've decided to have a look at what it takes to build an exciting overpowered Premier League XI at a fair price.

It wasn't easy, but we believe we've created a team for less than 100,000 coins that should serve frugal FIFA players well in the opening weeks of the new game.

Formation: 4-3-3

Overpowered PL XI

Goalkeeper: Rui Patricio | Wolves | 4,400 coins

An 84-rated 'keeper with excellent base stats for less than 5,000 coins? Sign us up!

Right-back: Ricardo Pereira | Leicester | 18,000

The most expensive player in our XI. There was no way we could turn down one of the best right-backs on FIFA 21 for such a bargain price.

Centre-back: Fikayo Tomori | Chelsea | 9,100 coins

It's simple really, if you can pick up a centre-back with 80 pace for less than 10,000 coins at the start of any FIFA game, you do it!

Centre-back: Eric Bailly | Man Utd | 10,000 coins

Not quite at the level of his previous cards, but Bailly still looks worthy of a place in FIFA 21 XIs for the first few weeks of the game - at least.

Left-back: Kieran Tierney | Arsenal | 5,500 coins

Tierney's blistering pace and impressive physical stats see the Scotsman take the left-back slot in our XI. The former Celtic man's 76-rated card was an absolute monster at the start of FIFA 20.

Defensive-mid: Jean-Philippe Gbamin | Everton | 4,100 coins

Aside from his shooting, Gbamin looks like a beast. With base ratings of 70+ for pace, dribbling, passing, defending and physical, the Ivorian is the perfect man to sit at the base of the midfield.

Centre-mid: Mateo Kovacic | Chelsea | 8,000 coins

Every midfield needs a dribbler, so we've opted for Kovacic. The Chelsea man is pretty quick for a midfielder as well and his 87 dribbling means he'll glide past players for fun.

Centre-mind: Abdoulaye Doucoure | Everton | 1,100 coins

The cheapest player in the XI. Doucoure is the ultimate bargain acquisition for the early weeks of FIFA 21, as he can pretty much do it all in midfield thanks to five of his six base stats being rated 70+. He'll certainly grab crucial goals from deep.

Right-wing: Willian | Arsenal | 5,000 coins

He might not be the quickest right-winger in the Premier League, but Willian's impressive dribbling, shooting and passing stats make him the complete package in attack.

Striker: Rodrigo Moreno | Leeds | 17,750 coins

It's always worth spending the big bucks on a striker and Rodrigo fits the bill perfectly. A pace rating of 91, need we say anymore?

Left-wing: Christian Pulisic | Chelsea | 11,500 coins

With Willian lacking a bit of pace on the right, we've opted for the American speedster on the left to balance things out. It's a shame his shooting is only 70 rated, but don't let that deter you from bringing Pulisic in.
