Great start for Everton
Sure, they have Carlo Ancelotti in the technical area now, but the three-time Champions League-winning manager hardly set the world alright during his first season in charge.
How times change, though, because Everton seem to be suffering anything but second-season-syndrome with both their big-name manager and big-name signings starting 2020/21 in style.
In fact, the Merseysiders boast a 100% record after their first four games with Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwhich Albion, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion all biting the bullet.
Rodriguez hits the ground running
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has already scored nine goals for the club this season, while new arrivals Allan and Abdoulaye Doucouré have hit the ground running at Goodison Park.
But arguably the club's best performer so far has been James Rodriguez, who is looking more and more like the bargain of a generation after arriving for pittance from Real Madrid.
Rodriguez set the Premier League alight with his incredible debut against Tottenham, becoming the most creative player on their bow since Alexis Sanchez for Arsenal more than six years ago.

The Colombian's first goal then arrived in the thrashing of West Brom, but there's good reason to think his performance against Brighton this weekend now stands as his magnum opus.
You only you've delivered an impeccable display when scoring twice and providing an assist is just the tip of the iceberg and the sheer extent of the masterclass can be seen in his highlights.

For the record, Rodriguez reached full-time with a passing accuracy of 94%, amassing 72 touches, winning five fouls, attempting four, creating two chances and completely two take-ons.

Yeh... I have a confession to make. I may or may not have predicted that Rodriguez would turn out to be an expensive flop in my predictions for the Premier League season.
But we all love a bit of self- deprecating humour, don't we? So, let's inspect my poor man's impression of Mystic Meg.
"I've never really been blown away by Rodriguez and his impending move to Everton really sets off alarm bells for me." Strike one.
"I'm not convinced that Carlo Ancelotti will be able to inspire the Toffees to more than eighth place next season and at the very least, I suspect Rodriguez will be outperformed by fellow arrival Allan." Strike two.
"Expect the Colombian to score an absolute screamer during one of his first five games, before completely falling off the radar, getting bullied in midfield and providing merely three or four assists." And I'm out.
Well, we haven't reached five games yet, so maybe he will fall off the radar, but something tells me that his incredible displays so far suggest that I am, as is often the case, completely wrong.
