Liverpool and Everton have both made perfect starts to the Premier League season.
Just a few hundred metres across Stanley Park and there has been plenty of cheering on the blue side of Liverpool, too, with Everton bagging four wins from their opening four games.
Strong start for Everton
The hardest-earned victory came straight out the traps away to Tottenham Hotspur, while wins over West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion have followed since.
As a result, albeit incredibly early days in the 2020/21 campaign, the Premier League table makes for a throwback to the 1980s with both Merseyside teams playing so well.
However, you'd think that Liverpool fans are pretty relaxed about Everton's early season spurt and aren't genuinely considering them as threats to their title.
Concern for Liverpool???
Well, although that might be the case for most Kopites, the same can't be said for Phil who called up Chris Sutton and Robbie Savage on their BBC Radio 5 Live show on Sunday evening.
Phil delivered a remarkable answer when Savage introduced him as claiming to be 'terrified' that Everton could be the team to strip Liverpool of their title.
"Why? Well - have you seen how well they're playing?" Phil explained. "Have you seen the strength in the squad? Have you seen the players that never played today and they still scored five goals?
"Have you seen the quality of the manager they've got? I'll have a £20 bet with you now Chris that Liverpool and Everton finish first and second - I'm not sure in what order...
"Look at the opposition. Chelsea, Spurs, United, City, Arsenal - the so-called big boys dropping points all over the shop.
"I'm thrilled to bits the way Liverpool are going, but I'm terrified that our Blue neighbours are going to be the ones to possibly do us. Look at City again! A million chances, scored one goal against Leeds.
"We got lucky against Leeds, fair enough, first game of the season and all that. Everton having already beaten Spurs - beaten them, no problem."
GIVEMESPORT's Kobe Tong says
Not going to lie, I would love Everton to really throw their hat in the ring for the Champions League places this season.
As far as a title race is concerned, exciting as it may be against their Merseyside neighbours, I simply can't see it happening and we shouldn't get too ahead of ourselves.
Yes, I know Everton have already played a top six team in Tottenham and won, but it's against the big boys of Liverpool and City that we'll truly get to see their title and top four credentials.
I'm inclined to think they'll be found out, but I cannot wait to see how far this Everton team can go with Ancelotti at the wheel and so many exciting players tearing it up week in, week out.
At the very least, I can't see a world where the 'top six' make up the top six this season.
