Leeds United have taken to life in the top flight like a duck to water. After securing promotion by 10 clear points last term, the Whites faced a huge challenge in adapting back to life in the Premier League. After all, it had been 16 years since they were last year.Seven points from their first four games has represented an encouraging start, and I'm sure that Leeds' supporters will be hoping to see more of the same.A huge part of their success has been the club's summer recruitment.Various talented young players have moved to Elland Road already this summer, while the likes of Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Rodrigo have also joined. But with the end of the transfer window in sight, it seems that Victor Orta and his recruitment team aren't done yet.p1ejpf237tgsp17h5bte17944t79.jpgA deal for Michael Cuisance appeared to be close before falling through, however it seems that a fresh move could be done and dusted.Reports from reporter Phil Hay have claimed that Leeds are closing in on a deal to sign Raphinha from Rennes. The 23-year-old winger enjoyed a decent season last time out after scoring seven and creating seven in 35 appearances for the French side.Described by his manager as someone who 'dribbles superbly', the Brazilian looks set to join Marcelo Bielsa's squad with a deal said to be agreed.

Taking to Twitter, Hay said: "Leeds United very close to a deal with Rennes for Brazilian winger Raphinha.

"In broad agreement on a fee - £17m plus add-ons.

"Bielsa still an admirer of Dan James but that hasn’t progressed at this stage."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This is an incredibly exciting signing for Leeds United.

It may have been a move that's come out of nowhere, but a deal for Raphinha is certainly what the doctor ordered at Elland Road.

A pacey winger with tricks aplenty, the Brazilian could be the final piece of the jigsaw for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

It's already been an excellent start to life in the Premier League for the Whites, but this deal could help them kick on further.

With his best years ahead of him, Raphinha is certainly one for the future.

Valued at £14.4million by Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old offers could value for money due to his significant sell-on potential.

Forcing his way into the Leeds starting XI could be tricky given the side's current form, but if he can do it seems that the Brazilian would be a perfect fit for Bielsa's side.
