Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting became a bit of a cult hero over the summer. The Cameroon international scored in the third minute of stoppage time in the Champions League quarter-finals to complete PSG's incredible 2-1 comeback against Atalanta. His late goal sent the Ligue 1 club into the last four of the competition and he quickly became an unlikely hero. Remember, this is a player who featured just 20 times in all competitions for PSG last season - and a handful of those appearances came as a substitute. In fact, since moving to France in 2018, Choupo-Moting played just 31 Ligue 1 fixtures over the course of two campaigns. But after his dreadful season with Stoke City in 2017/18, which saw the club relegated from the Premier League, it's surprising the forward even ended up at one of Europe's top clubs. If you thought Choupo-Moting's agent did an impressive job landing him that move, prepare to be blown away because he's on the verge of doing it again. Choupo-Moting was a cult hero for PSGAccording to French journalist Saber Desfarges, Choupo-Moting, who became a free agent earlier this summer, is 'close' to signing for Bayern Munich. "The former PSG [player], Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, in advanced contact with... Bayern Munich!" he tweeted.

Desfarges then followed that up with two further updates, including one about his new deal:

"Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is close to sign with Bayern Munich. [The] free agent, ex PSG striker is in advanced contact with the last champions league winner.

"Nice surprise at the end of the transfer window: Choupo-Moting will commit 2 years with Bayern Munich.

"This is the length of contract he wanted at PSG, the Parisian club had only offered him one year."

Did anybody see this coming? Sounds like Choupo-Moting's agent needs a raise!
