Leeds United look set for an emphatic return to the Premier League.

After 16 years away there were serious question marks over the club's ability to adapt to life in the fast lane.

Thankfully for Leeds fans, there was nothing to worry about.

Seven points from their first four games has seen the Whites get off to an impressive start to the season, with their one defeat so far coming against reigning champions Liverpool on the opening weekend of the season.

But Leeds know that they have work to do.

With fixture congestion a real concern this season the Yorkshire side face the prospect of a demanding campaign ahead.

If they're to handle that then they'll need to strengthen.

In fairness to Victor Orta and his recruitment team, you can hardly argue with the work that's been done in the area of recruitment.

As well as signing a number of talented youngsters such as Sam Greenwood, Cody Drameh and Joe Gelhardt, the Whites brought back the likes of Illan Meslier, Helder Costa and Jack Harrison after last season's success.

But Leeds also bolstered their first team squad with some new faces.

Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Rodrigo all joined Marcelo Bielsa's first team squad, with more expected before the transfer window shuts.

One position that is being targeted is a new left back with Leeds said to be preparing a move for a talented young player.

The Mirror have claimed that the Whites are preparing a move for Yasser Larouci.

The Liverpool youngster is attracting plenty of attention from both England and across Europe.

Larouci faces an uphill battle to break into Jurgen Klopp's side with Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas ahead of him in the pecking order.

At 19 years of age the French starlet is seeking regular first team football - something which seems increasingly unlikely to happen at Anfield.

With just one year left on his contract, Larouci looks determined to move on and Leeds could be a side to offer him the platform to showcase himself in the Premier League.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This would be a very exciting signing for Leeds United.

Hailed for his ability to silence Jadon Sancho for Liverpool, Yasser Larouci may not be the sort of big-name signing that will get supporters hot under the collar but he would certainly be a shrewd signing for the future.

Marcelo Bielsa absolutely loves working with young players and that is evident in the recruitment efforts of the club this summer.

With first team opportunities limited with Liverpool, Larouci could really benefit from a move.

He would face a challenge to become a first team regular straight away at Elland Road, but he'd certainly be given a chance if he was deemed to be up to it.
