Manchester United are reportedly preparing a summer move for Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder.

Corriere dello Sport reported last week that Inter are 'resigned' to losing the 26-year-old after he told bosses he was unsettled in Milan.

Football Italia now claims that United a ready to make an 'official' bid of €35 million in order to bring the Dutchman to Old Trafford during the transfer window.

Sneijder has reportedly been on the United radar for some time, with Sir Alex Ferguson having been outed as a fan of the Holland international in the past.

Although there will be no shortage of suitors for the former Ajax midfielder, United are said to favourites to land him - and have supposedly identified Sneijder as a potential replacement for Paul Scholes.

The United legend has said he will consider his options at the end of the season before committing to another season at Old Trafford.
