Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a pretty impeccable transfer window.

After finishing in sixth place last term it seemed that the north London side were going to struggle to attract the sort of players that they would need to help them kick on.

But it seems that they had precious little to worry about.

Seven points from their first four games has seen Spurs move to sixth in the table - a decent position considering the fact it's been a difficult opening run of games.

The latest result was a 6-1 victory over Manchester United which will no doubt be partially down to the confidence boost that has come from the new arrivals.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty arrived at the club from Southampton, Burnley and Wolves earlier in the summer.

That was followed up by the deals for Sergio Reguilon, Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius.

While more signings could follow, the additions already made mean that some players could now be heading for the exit door.

One of those is Danny Rose.

The full-back is way down the pecking order in north London, and with just one year left on his contract his future is up in the air.

One man who has been covering his future closely is Alasdair Gold of Football London who has hinted that the former England international may hold off for a move to an EFL club given that the domestic deadline isn't until October 16.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Gold said: "Danny Rose would be another that, obviously, will be looking to get out the door but I understand there’s not massive interest in him right now.

“There’s the Genoa stuff, there’s people kind of making little enquiries, but nothing really serious right now about Danny Rose.

“Anyone that needs a left-back will look at him. I’ll be intrigued to see, if nobody does, whether his standards would drop slightly and actually, in the EFL window, whether he’d then consider heading out to a Championship club – we know Bournemouth wanted him last year.

“He is, as you can see, not playing any part in the first-team squad, I don’t think he’s even training with them, I think he’s with the development squad right now – well, that was a little while ago, I don’t know entirely whether he may even just be training alone right now.

“It’s sad to see, of course it is, he’s given a lot of years to Tottenham – but it very much is just a player who it’s best for all parties if he moves on.”

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

It's a real surprise that Danny Rose's future remains up in the air.

Described by Steve Bruce as a player 'with real quality', the Tottenham player is more than capable of plying his trade in the Premier League.

For whatever reason, he's just not been able to get the move he wants.

It would be a real shame for him to sit out the rest of his contract with Spurs, as he would most likely not even get any game time.

If he can secure a move it'd be great to show everyone that he can still compete at the highest level.
