Arsenal made a splash on the last day of the transfer window when they managed to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
The Gunners had been searching for a world-class midfielder all summer.
After being frustrated in their attempts to sign Lyon's Houssem Aouar, Arsenal decided to trigger Partey’s release clause of £45m yesterday morning.
The Ghanaian undertook his medical later on in the day and the deal was completed with minutes to go in the transfer window.
Some may be amazed at Partey's decision to trade Atletico for Arsenal, but it's not that surprising given how much money he is now earning at the north London club.
According to the Mirror, Partey has been given a five-year contract worth a staggering £260,000-per-week by the Gunners. That amounts to just over £13.5m-per-year.
On top of that, he's also been handed a £2.5m signing bonus. Not too shabby.
But how does his wages compare to the rest of Arsenal's squad? Per Spotrac, how much every member of Arsenal's first team squad earns has been listed below.
25. Bukayo Saka | £10,000-per-week

1. Mesut Ozil | £350,000-per-week
*Spotrac did not have data for the wages of Gabriel, Eddie Nketiah, Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson and Cedric
So Partey has become Arsenal's second highest-paid player, even eclipsing Aubameyang's weekly wages.
He's now one of 11 Arsenal players that are earning £100,000-per-week or more.
Given his transfer fee and wages, it goes without saying that expectations are very high for the 27-year-old.
