For months, WWE fans were left wondering who the 'SmackDown hacker' was. It was arguably the most exciting storyline at the beginning of 2020, but unfortunately, went a bit stale when coronavirus pandemic hit and empty arena shows became the norm. After all, angles like this only work best when there's a crowd watching and reacting, so it's hardly surprising Vince McMahon decided to can it. But over the past few months, WWE seemed to be bringing the hacker back and many fans believed they were in some way related to Retribution. This week's Monday Night RAW confirmed just that, with the identity of the hacker seemingly being revealed on social media shortly after. The penultimate match of the night saw MVP take on Mustafa Ali. As The Hurt Business circled on their opponent to create a 3-on-1 situation, the lights went out and Retribution appeared.

It was at that moment that Ali was revealed as the faction's real leader, directing Mace, T-Bar and Slapjack to attack MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

The numbers game was well and truly on Retribution's side as they beat down The Hurt Business.

After RAW, WWE's official FOX account tweeted to confirm that it was indeed Ali behind the Hacker storyline all along and he's now aligned himself with the group.

While many fans had already worked out that Ali was the man behind the hacks months ago, it's good to finally have official confirmation.

So, where do WWE go from here? That's anyone's guess, especially with the draft coming up.

We know Retribution 'signed contracts to become RAW Superstars' recently, so it's unlikely the group will be drafted away from the Red Brand.

Ali is the leader of Retribution

Now Ali has been confirmed as their leader, expect to see him stay on Monday nights causing more havoc too.
