Arsenal's summer transfer window ended with fireworks on deadline day. After months of rumours, the Gunners finally secured the signing of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid. The north London side activated the midfielder's £45m release clause, completing a pretty fruitful summer for manager Mikel Arteta.Partey was the sixth permanent signing made by Arsenal, following the additions of Pablo Mari, Cedric Soares, Willian, Gabriel Magalhaes and Alex Runarsson.Dani Ceballos was also brought back to the club on loan, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli all signed contract extensions in the summer as well.

It's been a very successful few months for the Gunners after winning the FA Cup in 2019/20 and the signing of Partey is one that makes Arsenal big favourites for the top four - on paper at least.

Midfield was the only department within the squad that was noticeably lacking quality depth prior to the Ghanaian's arrival.

But that's all changed now and every position within Arteta's favoured 4-3-3 formation has now been suitably reinforced.

Below, we've created a graphic detailing Arsenal's squad depth for the rest of the season.

Arsenal's 2020/21 squad depth

Arsenal's squad depth

Amazingly, Arsenal will have EIGHT options to pick from at centre-back once Calum Chambers and Mari return from injury.

In midfield, we've included Mesut Ozil as one of the options in the more advanced central role, but it's unlikely he will feature under Arteta at all this season.

Joe Willock can act as back-up to both Partey and Dani Ceballos, while Emile Smith-Rowe looks set to play a pivotal role in the first-team squad this campaign.

Up top, Arsenal have the perfect blend of youth and experience - especially when Brazilian sensation Martinelli is back fully fit.

Bukayo Saka & Gabriel Martinelli

Even with Premier League, Europa League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup games set to come thick and fast throughout 2020/21, the Gunners have more than enough depth to succeed in all four competitions.

We're not saying Arsenal are gonna scoop the quadruple, far from it. However, the calibre of player now available to Arteta should be enough to bring Champions League football back to the Emirates.
