Didier Drogba could be set for a move to Manchester City, to replace rival striker Carlos Tevez, according to The Metro.

With an overload of strikers at Chelsea, including £50 million man Fernando Torres, Drogba is reportedly unhappy at no longer being the number one forward and is planning a move away from the Blues in the summer.

Tevez, meanwhile, handed in a transfer request at Manchester City towards the end of last year, citing homesickness as the reason he wanted to leave.

While a swap is on the cards for Chelsea and Manchester City, with Tevez wanting to head back to his native Argentina, it might be unlikely that the ex-Manchester United striker would want to make a move to yet another top flight English club.

Though, it is also unlikely that an Argentinian side would sign the star for the price that Manchester City require to let Tevez out of his contract.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Tevez will not leave Manchester City for any less than £50 million, and Drogba would be worth the same vicinity, with both strikers in form for their clubs this season.

Chelsea would do well to take Tevez in the summer, with owner Roman Abramovich building up a strikeforce in the hopes of achieving Champions League success.
