Adama Traore’s international career is up and running.Running being the operative word where the Wolves star is concerned.Traore has become something of a cult hero in recent years with the winger not only being one of the quickest players in world football, but also one of the strongest. But the former Barcelona graduate had to wait until he was 24 to be recognised on the international stage. But there was something of a tug of war between Mali and Spain to call him up to their squads this month, leaving both nations naming Traore on their roster. It was Spain - who Traore had represented at under-21 level - who won the war.On Wednesday night, Traore had a 30-minute cameo during Spain’s 0-0 draw against Portugal in a friendly,p1ek3c00eo1jt86g5pbapkiuh1f.jpgAnd it’s fair to say he made an impression. Well, he did on poor Trincao anyway. There was a moment late on where Trincao had plenty of space with Traore about 20 yards behind him. Within seconds, Traore was shoving the Barcelona youngster to the ground with a forceful forearm. He doesn’t even look like he’s trying. Incredible.Check it out:

He really should be playing NFL, shouldn’t he?

In fact, his Wolves teammate Romain Saiss revealed that Traore had actually been approached by NFL clubs previous in his career.

“He is huge and very quick. I remember saying to him: ‘You run like an American footballer,'" Saiss said.

“He responded to me that at the time that he played in Barcelona, NFL teams tried to get him playing American football instead, that’s how explosive he was.

“There are people who say that it is not possible, that he cannot be playing football.”

Remarkably, Traore insisted that he doesn’t do weights and gains his muscle naturally.

“My training? I don’t do weights,” he revealed. “It’s hard to believe, but I don’t do weights. It’s genetic. I exercise, but I gain mass very quickly.”

Back to ‘proper’ football and Spain boss Luis Enrique was very encouraged by Traore’s debut.

"Adama was Adama in his purest form and that's how we want him to be" Enrique stated after the game.

"He has the ability to take on opponents, and gave a killer pass to Dani Olmo that didn't end up going in.

"With a player like that, they will not be able to stop him, they will have to use two players."
