Kai Havertz has endured a mixed start to life in the Premier League. The German midfield maestro joined Chelsea this summer in a deal worth £72m and there was a lot of expectation placed upon him to fire immediately on English soil. But Havertz failed to live up to the hype in his first few outings for the Blues and like most foreign imports to the Premier League, the 21-year-old will take a few months to find his very best form. However, that doesn't mean there haven't been glimpses of quality. The former Bayer Leverkusen man grabbed a hat-trick in the Carabao Cup against Barnsely and also impressed during Chelsea's recent 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace.Maybe Havertz has already overcome his quiet start to the 2020/21 season, because he was also on fire for the German national team against Turkey last night.Havertz in action vs TurkeyDie Mannschaft were held to a 3-3 draw in the international friendly, but their star man in midfield was at the top of his game, contributing with two assists for Julian Draxler and Florain Neuhaus.Havertz was everywhere, playing crisp passes and constantly putting Turkey's defence on the back foot by finding space in the pocket behind the midfield. You can watch the youngster's highlights below and they're yet more proof that Chelsea have a 'generational talent' on their hands.

Havertz makes football look so, so easy.

His intelligence and maturity on the pitch for a 21-year-old are remarkable, while his one-touch passing is a skill Chelsea have to utilise more often going forward.

Havertz now has three goals and five assists for club and country since his move to England, taking his tally for 2020 to 29 goal contributions (18 goals, 11 assists).

Only Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have recorded higher totals than the German this calendar year.

Incredible numbers and the exciting thing for Chelsea fans is that Havertz is only going to get better during his time at Stamford Bridge.

His £72m price tag may look enormous right now, but in the years to come the German has the potential to become - like Ronaldo - one of professional football's 'expensive bargains'.
