Chelsea superstar Michael Essien’s agent has come forward to acknowledge and silence rumours that the Ghanian will make a move to Italian side AC Milan in the summer.

The Daily Mirror had reported that Essien was fielding offers from AC Milan in the vicinity of £18 million, but Fabien Piveteau says his client will not be leaving Chelsea and has not heard from the Italian giants.

“Nothing is true," Piveteau told tuttomercatoweb.

"I have not had any contact either with AC Milan or any other clubs, because everyone knows that Chelsea is happy with the player and Michael is happy at Chelsea.

"He is well in London and intends to stay there for the next three years."

Piveteau has faced rumours of Essien’s departure from Chelsea on numerous occasions. Just last month, he told reporters: “He has spoken to the [Chelsea] chairman.

“He will stay at Chelsea next season, the club want him to stay.”

Essien has been a star at Chelsea since moving to the club in 2005 for £24.4 million. After earning the nickname ‘the Bison’ for his powerful nature and intimidation over the opposition, the Blues would be hard pressed to consider letting their African star go at any price.
