West Ham have had a very underwhelming transfer window.
Hammers fans have urged the club to splash the cash on new additions, but that hasn't materialized as of yet.
David Moyes' side have signed just three players so far this summer.
The Premier League outfit decided to make Thomas Soucek's loan move permanent, splashing out £14.5m on the Czech star.
They also added Vladimir Coufal to their ranks, while Craig Dawson joined the club on loan from Watford on Monday.
West Ham's inability to strengthen the squad adequately has led to outrage from the club's fans.
Fortunately, the west London club can still buy players currently plying their trade in England, meaning they still have time to salvage something from the window.
Reports on the weekend suggested that they were after Brentford star, Said Benrahma.
West Ham reportedly agreed a £25m deal with Brentford for the Algerian winger.
However, according to the Mirror, that move is now on the brink of collapse.
That's because Benrahma has fallen out with his current side due to ‘broken promises’.
A medical had been set at West Ham but now it seems a deal is off.
West Ham aren't said to be too devastated, though. The report adds that they are 'relaxed about his situation with his club'.
That's because West Ham are prioritising a move for Bournemouth forward Joshua King, with Moyes keen to sign the Norwegian.
The Hammers have already had a £13m bid rejected for the 28-year-old, with Bournemouth demanding £18m.

Anyone that watched Championship football last year would know that Benrahma is the best player in England's second tier.
He was absolutely sensational for Brentford last season and deserves to be playing in the Premier League.
Thus, it would be a blow for West Ham if they weren't to complete a move for the Algerian.
Signing King would be a great alternative, though. He's proven to be a solid player in the Premier League over the past few years.
The fact he would cost just £18m would also represent somewhat of a bargain.
What West Ham must do is get one of the signings over the line. I can't even imagine the anger from the club's supporters if they don't manage to strengthen the squad before the Friday deadline.
