Germany 3-3 Switzerland was a cracking advert for the UEFA Nations League. It was a game that had everything, from woeful defensive mistakes to brilliant goals. The evening's entertainment in Cologne's RheinEnergieStadion kicked off with Switzerland scoring after just five minutes through Dinamo Zagreb striker Mario Gavranovic.Nineteen minutes later, the Germans were 2-0 down thanks to a wonderful chipped goal from Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler on the counter.Die Mannschaft then hauled themselves back into the game, Chelsea duo Timo Werner and Kai Havertz bringing the score level by the 55th minute mark with a goal apiece.Havertz & Werner celebrateBut just two minutes after, Switzerland were back in front thanks to Gavranovic's second of the night and the goal came courtesy of some woeful defending from Germany.Manuel Neuer was certainly at fault in goal, however, the Bayern Munich shot-stopper was needlessly exposed by some inept defending from Antonio Rudiger. The Chelsea defender - who has recently been dropped by Frank Lampard - was hopelessly out of position and simply jogged back towards his own goal as Switzerland closed in on Neuer. What on earth was he doing?! Thankfully for the defender, Serge Gnabry was on hand to equalise three minutes later to spare some of his blushes.Rudiger didn't exactly cover himself in glory for Switzerland's second goal of the evening either, his mistimed jump paving the way for Freuler's lobbed effort to ripple back of the net.It will not come as a shock to anyone to know that Rudiger was trending on Twitter throughout the game and below, we've provided some of the best reaction from Chelsea fans.

Based on tonight's evidence, Lampard's decision to ditch Rudiger in favour of a partnership of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma in central defence was a very smart one indeed.

Joachim Low should probably look to make a similar decision before it's too late...
