Everton will be back in action this weekend against Liverpool.
The two clubs meet in a Merseyside derby with more riding on it than ever before.
Everton have won all four of their first four Premier League games, beating Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace, and Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Reds, by comparison, have beaten Leeds United, Chelsea, and Arsenal, but they were absolutely thumped by Aston Villa prior to the international break, losing 7-2 at Villa Park.
This weekend, then, offers a valuable insight into the progression of both sides; the Reds will surely be in trouble if they lose, while the Toffees would be in dream land if they won.
There has, of course, been an aggressive summer of recruitment at Goodison Park, as they have brought in the likes of Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, James Rodriguez, Niels Nkounkou, and Ben Godfrey.
But it seems that they aren’t quite done yet.
Sport Witness carries a report from Calciomercato claiming that there is interest in Adrien Rabiot, the France international.
Rabiot currently plays for Juventus and has made two Serie A appearances already this season, having made 21 starts in 2019/20.
The Toffees, obviously, brought in three midfielders in the summer but they are keeping an eye on the ex-PSG man, who worked with manager Carlo Ancelotti in Paris.
He is valued at €28m (£25.2m) by Transfermarkt and has a contract that runs until 2023 in Italy.

Everton don’t really need Rabiot.
The signings of Allan and Doucoure have strengthened the midfield no end, while Rodriguez adds genuine creativity.
Rabiot could have been a decent signing in the summer had he come in before either Allan or Doucoure, but he didn’t.
Everton have, instead, done what needed to be done, and there is simply no need to splash further cash on the centre of the pitch.
There is nothing to say that Juve will simply let him leave; he has a lengthy contract and remains a part of their plans.
This feels like a non-starter.
