Arsenal have enjoyed a decent transfer window so far.

A disappointing campaign was rescued by Mikel Arteta who provided crumbs of comfort as he showed early glimpses of the work he was doing to take the club back to their former glory.

That wasn't represented in their league position, but certainly appears to be a work in progress with the evidence on display.

As well as convincing the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new contract, the Gunners moved quickly to sign a number of high quality players who can help to take the club forward.

These include deals for Gabriel Magalhaes, Alex Runarsson, Willian and Thomas Partey who joined in the closing stages of the international transfer window.

With time ticking away to do business in the domestic window it seems unlikely that Arsenal will look to add any many more players to the squad.

However a report from the the Daily Mail has included the Gunners alongside Wolves and Leeds United as admirers of Reading starlet Michael Olise.

The Daily Mail wrote: "Reading winger Michael Olise has picked up interest from Arsenal, Wolves and Leeds United.

"The France Under 18 international is likely to leave the Madejski Stadium after breaking through last season.

"Since Veljko Paunović took over the reins this summer, Olise has played a more prominent role and scored a stunning strike in a win against Barnsley last month.

"Olise, who came through the youth systems at Chelsea and Manchester City, is an exciting talent and several Premier League clubs want to sign him with an eye on the future."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Described by Mark Bowen as 'talented', Michael Olise is an excellent young talent but I can't see this one happening.

The Reading starlet has only recently emerged as a regular first team player at the Madejski Stadium, and that is why this deal might not happen.

There's nothing to say that Arsenal or any other club wouldn't be interested in a deal, but now is not the right time for him to move on.

At 18 years of age the main focus has to be on playing regular first team football - something that he is most likely to get with the Royals.

Having scored one and created two for Reading already this season it seems like it could be an excellent campaign for the youngster and that could see his stock rise considerably.

Perhaps in 12 months a deal will be a better idea, but for now it's crucial that he focuses on enjoying his football.
