Leeds United have taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.

After 16 years away few could have blamed the Whites for taking a little bit of time to acclimatise to life in the fast lane, but instead they've been quickest out of the blocks.

Confidence was always going to be high going into the new season after storming to victory in the Championship last term.

Marcelo Bielsa's side were brimming with confidence - something that will only have got stronger after such an impressive start to the Premier League season.

Seven points from four games has seen Leeds move into the top half of the table - a position that they'll be looking to consolidate over the course of the season.

For that, Bielsa's squad deserve plenty of credit.

Last season's players have taken on the challenge with real enthusiasm, while the addition of the likes of Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Rodrigo and Raphinha have added real quality to the ranks.

But it seems that Leeds might not yet be done.

Victor Orta and his recruitment team are working tirelessly to bring in a midfielder before the domestic transfer window closes, with Louie Sibley being a top contender to make the move.

The Derby County starlet has established himself as a first team regular for the Rams, and according to Kevin Phillips, his need to play regular first team football has to be factored in to any deal.

Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips said: “Sibley will turn out to be a great player.

“He is a young kid with an exciting future.

“Does he go to Leeds and play every other game? I would rather him stay and play week in, week out.

“There could be a deal to be done where he is signed and then goes back to Derby on loan, I would not be adverse to that.

"The kid just needs to play football.”

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Louie Sibley is an outstanding young player.

Described by Darren Bent as someone 'with the potential to go to the very top', the Derby County starlet could be the next big thing in English football.

That's exactly why Leeds United will be so keen so sign him.

Marcelo Bielsa loves coaching young players and Sibley fits perfectly into that category.

Whether Leeds will pursue a deal in this transfer window remains to be seen, but I'm sure it won't be too long before we see the 19-year-old in the top flight.
