The most important player on the pitch is, arguably, the striker.
Their main responsibility is to score goals. If your team doesn't put the ball back in the net, you don't win games. It's that simple.
But who is the best striker in the world right now?
That's a question that FourFourTwo have answered in one of their latest features.
They have given their thoughts as to who is the top 10 best strikers in the world right now.
They have only included players that play exclusively as a centre-forward, so the likes of Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have not been included.
View their selections below...
10. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
9. Luis Suarez (Atletico Madrid)
8. Raul Jimenez (Wolves)
7. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
6. Erling Haaland (Dortmund)
5. Sergio Aguero (Man City)
4. Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan)
3. Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus)
2. Harry Kane (Tottenham)
1. Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)
GIVEMESPORT'S JAMES STROUD SAYS:
First of all, it's perhaps surprising that Roberto Firmino hasn't made the list.
He hasn't been in the best of form but he's still been a major part of Liverpool's success in the past few years.
Having Vardy so low down on the list is a bit harsh. He was phenomenal last season, finishing with the Premier League Golden Boot, and he's opened up this campaign with five goals from his opening four games.
Haaland also has to be higher up the list. He's done some incredible things in the past year for Borussia Dortmund.
Ronaldo is still scoring goals at will for Juventus and Portugal but he finds himself third, behind Kane.
As good as Kane has been to start the season, I would have Ronaldo above him.
There can be no arguments about Lewandowski being named the best striker in the world, though.
He should have earned his first Ballon d'Or title in December had the awards ceremony not been scrapped.
