Having made their millions through sporting talent and excellence, a number of superstars have elected to buy superyachts to make their way across the seas in luxury.

From MMA icon Conor McGregor to NBA legend Michael Jordan, no expense has been spared in achieving maximum comfort when setting sail.

So sit back and just feast your eyes over some of these beautiful machines owned by some of the very biggest names.

Conor McGregor - £2.7 million

The Irish former lightweight champion purchased his Lamborghini yacht for a sizeable £2.7 million, and was one of 63 made - McGregor got the 12th.

The Tecnomar 63 has been dubbed the 'Supercar of the Sea' and is the second yacht that McGregor owns, having previously purchased a £3 million Prestige 750.

"Lamborghini’s first entry into the Sport Yacht World comes in the form of this 63foot, 4000bhp, duel engine, twin-turbo, rocket ship!" posted McGregor on social media, of the Tecnomar 63.

The tennis icon sold his MYC 76 for £2 million and replaced it with the £4 million 80 Sunreef Power catamaran, fully customised.

The boat boasts a waterfall-fed spa pool, jet ski garage and on-deck bar. Nadal's bedroom, meanwhile, comes with an en-suite bathroom, skylight and ocean views.

Cristiano Ronaldo - £5.5 million

Portugal's all-time record appearance maker and goalscorer purchased the Azimut Grande in June, for a hefty £5.5 million.

Built by Azimut-Bennett, which is based in Viareggio, Italy, the monster boat boasts five luxury cabins, six bathrooms, two relaxation areas, a dining area, and a fully-equipped kitchen.

Ronaldo set sail along the Tyrrhenian coast in the vessel this summer, previously chartering an African I from a company.

Michael Jordan - £6 million

His Airness owns a Viking Sportfish 80, keeping in check with the well-known sporting devotion from the former Chicago Bulls star.

The £6 million boat was named Catch 23 by Jordan, in homage to his famous number, and has been used in fishing competitions by Jordan.

In June, Jordan took part in the North Carolina Big Rock Fishing tournament, where he caught a 201kg blue marlin.

Tiger Woods - £15 million

In 2004, Woods got his hands on a 155ft megayacht worth a whopping £15 million and named it 'Privacy'.

It features five staterooms capable of hosting 10 guests, an elevator to get between floors, a fully-kitted gym, an eight-person jacuzzi, and a bar.

It's also fully equipped for any aquatic adventure, with a scuba station and room for three jet skis and two kayaks.

Unsurprisingly, running Privacy is no mean feat and it costs £1.5 million a year to do so.
