When Liverpool spent £34 million on Mohamed Salah back in 2017, eyebrows were raised.This was the same Salah who failed to make the grade at Chelsea just a few years previously, scoring twice in 19 appearances.But the Egyptian had spent the previous three seasons in Italy - one campaign on loan at Fiorentina, one campaign on loan at Roma before I Giallorossi signed him on a permanent deal.Salah scored 19 Serie A goals in his two seasons at Roma, prompting Liverpool to splash the cash on him.And now, a little more than three years after joining, Salah has scored 100 goals in just 159 appearances. His strike in the dramatic Merseyside Derby might get lost among all the drama but we shouldn't forget his incredible achievement.And we won't. 15 | Stoke (A)
Can he do it on a cold, Tuesday night in Stoke? You betcha. After brilliant play from Sadio Mane, Salah waited at the back post and smashed the ball on the volley past Lee Grant. Bosh.
14 | Manchester City (H)
This has perhaps made the list for the occasion, rather than the execution. In January 2018, Man City hadn’t lost in the Premier League until they came to Anfield. And in nine crazy second-half minutes, the match went from 1-1 to 4-1 with Salah capitalising on Ederson’s mistake to lob the ball in from 40 yards. Liverpool did concede two late goals but defeated City for the first time that season.
13 | Manchester United (H)
Again, this may not be one of the best 15 goals Salah has scored in terms of quality but it’s probably the most memorable. January 13, 2020 - the day Liverpool fans started signing and believing they were finally about to win the Premier League. It was all thanks to thanks to Salah’s 93rd-minute breakaway goal thanks to Alisson’s assist. The Brazilian goalkeeper was the first to celebrate with Salah as he ripped off his shirt in front of the Kop.
12 | Napoli (H)
In a game in which Liverpool needed to win to progress through to the knockout stages en route to winning the competition. Salah scored the only goal of the game against Napoli - a side who had consigned Liverpool to a rare defeat earlier in the season. The Egyptian saw off Mario Rui before cruising past one of the best defenders in world football, Kalidou Koulibaly. He then fired past Alex Meret with his right foot from a tight angle. If it wasn’t for that goal, Liverpool may not have won the Champions League for a sixth time.
11 | Arsenal (H)
David Luiz had to pay for a ticket to get back into Anfield after Salah absolutely skinned him, cut into the penalty area and placed the ball beautifully past Bernd Leno.
10 | Watford (H)
Mohamed Salah did his best Lionel Messi impression, while Miguel Britos did his best Jerome Boateng impression. The Watford defenders all thought the Egyptian was going to cut inside on his left foot but made them all look stupid by going on his right to score.
9 | Leeds (H)
This goal was probably lost in the crazy seven-goal thriller against Leeds. Marcelo Bielsa’s side had just made it 2-2 when the ball fell at Salah’s feet who didn’t even think twice before smashing the ball into the roof of the net. Pick that out!
8 | Bournemouth (A)
Outstrengthened Steve Cook, beat Asmir Begovic twice before knocking the ball past Nathan Ake to complete his hat-trick. Glorious from Mo.
7 | Everton (H)
Believe it or not, this goal actually won the Puskas award in 2017. No, we’re not sure how either. Look, it was a brilliant goal but the best in world football over a whole calendar year? No chance. But the way he pushes Cuco Martina to the ground skips past Idrissa Gueye and curls a beauty past Jordan Pickford in the Merseyside derby will always be remembered fondly by Liverpool fans.
6 | Tottenham (H)
Just look how many Spurs players are between Salah and the goal when he first picks up the ball. He gets a bit of luck but turns Ben Davies and Jan Vertonghen inside-out before lifting the ball over Hugo Lloris. It should have been a 91st-minute winner but Spurs went up the other end and got a late equaliser through a penalty.
5 | Roma (H)
How do you open the scoring against your former club in a Champions League semi-final? By curling it beautifully in off the underside of the bar, of course - past future Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson. Salah would add a second 10 minutes later as Liverpool won the first-leg 5-2 en route to the final.
4 | Watford (H)
There are six Watford players within spitting distance of Salah when he scores. But he sells three of them a dummy and somehow squeezes the ball past Ben Foster for his hat-trick in a match in which he bagged four.
3 | Genk (A)
A goal that epitomises just how strong and skilful Salah really is. He holds off a huge defender with his back to goal, produces a brilliant touch to take him in between two opponents before finishing with his right foot.
2 | Chelsea (H)
An incredible goal in a huge match. Liverpool needed to beat Chelsea in April 2019 to keep up with the pace set by Manchester City. Anfield was bouncing after Sadio Mane had put the home side ahead but Salah took the roof off the place minutes later when he collected Virgil van Dijk's long pass, cut inside to produced an incredible 30-yard strike into the top corner. The celebration was pretty iconic, too.

Salah’s best goal he’s scored in a Liverpool shirt. Who said he doesn’t have a right foot? Not us, that’s for sure. When Salah knocked the ball past Cican Stankovic, he appeared to be running off the pitch. But, somehow, running at full speed, using his weaker foot with the ball curling away from the goal, managed to score from the highest of angles. Unreal.
