Mohamed Salah scored a classy goal in Saturday afternoon's Merseyside derby as Liverpool drew 2-2 with Everton at Goodison Park.

The Egyptian forward didn't have much time to think when the ball fizzed towards him inside the box.

But he sorted his feet out brilliantly to fire a snap-shot past Jordan Pickford and give his side the lead.

That goal brought up his 100th goal for the Reds.

Salah has become the 17th player to reach that landmark and he achieved it in just 159 games.

=4. Robbie Fowler - 165 games

3. Mohamed Salah - 159 games

2. Jack Parkinson - 153 games

1. Roger Hunt - 144 games

A remarkable achievement by all.

Gerrard was the slowest of all the players on the list to hit 100 goals, but that's no disrespect to him given he was a midfielder.

Dalglish reached the landmark in 241 games, while Owen managed to do it in 57 games fewer than the legendary Scotsman.

Rush is arguably Liverpool's greatest striker ever but five players, including Fowler, achieved 100 goal for the club quicker than him.

Salah finds himself in third, which is an astonishing achievement given he isn't an out-and-out striker.

But he still didn't reach the milestone quick enough to take top spot.

That honour remains with the legendary Roger Hunt. The England World Cup winner cored 100 goals in jut 144 games, which is 15 games fewer than Salah.
