Despite being at the club for just nine months, that was the 12th penalty that Fernandes has taken for United. He has scored 11 of them.

His nickname 'Penandes' gets more and more apt every day...

You've got to say that the referee made the right call, though.

Navas was clearly off his line and by the letter of the law, the penalty had to be retaken.

It's not very often we say this, but well done to VAR for spotting the infringement.
