Manchester United produced a shock as they defeated PSG 2-1 at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening.Marcus Rashford was the hero as he scored in the 87th minute to give his side all three points.But it was Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea that was the standout performer on the night.De Gea was once considered the best goalkeeper in the world but he has been nowhere near that level in the past couple of years.However, he was on top form against the French giants.David de Gea produced a brilliant performance vs PSGThe 29-year-old produced two brilliant saves in quick succession early on.He prevented former Man United winger, Angel Di Maria, from giving the hosts the lead.De Gea then produced a stunning save to deny Layvin Kurzawa from close range.And he thwarted Kylian Mbappe with another stunning save in the second half.Watch a video of his saves below:In total, he made five saves, including three inside the box. It's just a shame that he could do nothing to prevent Anthony Martial's own-goal, ruining his clean-sheet in the process.Still, that took nothing away from his performance and he was rightly given the Man of the Match award.De Gea spoke to the media after the game and he was happy with United's display.David de Gea denies Angel Di Maria"Unbelievable night," he said on MUTV. "We showed again that we are Manchester United and we can beat teams like PSG, big teams."He also reserved words of praise for Axel Tuanzebe, who kept Kylian Mbappe quiet on his return to the starting lineup."Axel was unbelievable today," he continued. "He did really well. He showed today he's capable of playing big games. All of my saves were special! Proud of the team."

Marcus Rashford was also impressed with his goalkeeper's performance.

He took to Twitter after the game, simply writing: 'What a performance DDG!'

Let's hope De Gea's mistakes are behind him and he can keep performing like he did against PSG.

If he does, he will soon be regarded as the very best goalkeeper in the world once again.
