Another trip to Paris, another victory for Manchester United. The Red Devils enjoy going to the Parc des Princes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having prevailed for the second time in less than two years during Tuesday’s encounter.Marcus Rashford was the hero, just like he was when they met in March 2019. The Man United forward lashed home in the 87th minute to seal a 2-1 win for the visitors in their opening group game of the 2020/21 Champions League.Rashford grabbed the headlines, but United’s defenders deserve special praise as well. They managed to keep PSG’s vaunted front three of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria quiet, with the French side needing an own goal from Anthony Martial to get on the board.Axel Tuanzebe was particularly impressive in his first game for United since December 18, 2019.

Solskjaer will have enjoyed watching his defenders frustrate Neymar and Mbappe.

And since his departure from the club after just one year, United will have relished getting one over Di Maria, too.

The Argentinian winger produced a poor display against his ex-club. And he might have paid for it at full-time.

United 'throw shade' at Di Maria

Di Maria featured in an Instagram post by United after the game - and fans believe the Red Devils fired shots at the PSG star with their caption.

In the photo, David de Gea - who also shone - is seen pushing the ball away from Di Maria’s feet.

United accompanied the snap with the message: “Big players step up in the big moments.”

A compliment about De Gea, or a dig at Di Maria? Lots of United supporters believe it’s the latter.

“Wow, the admin are dissing Di Maria,” one supporter said.

Another wrote: “Big shade being thrown here.”

A third commented: “Low-key shot at Di Maria too.”

Meanwhile, one fan said: “UNITED WITH THE DISS INJECT IT.”

Well played, admin. That’s as sly as they come.
