The Undertaker will reportedly make an appearance at this year’s Survivor Series, 30 years to the day of his WWE debut.Aged 55, the WWE legend is rumoured to return, although it is still unknown what his role may be at the pay-per-view.A potential return at the event would mark his 30th anniversary since debuting at the 1990 edition.The Deadman’s last bout came at WrestleMania 36 in March, where he beat AJ Styles in a legendary Boneyard Match. He announced his retirement in the final episode of his documentary The Last Ride.The Undertaker did say he could return to WWE “in case of emergency”, though, and it seems like that return could be sooner than we thought.According to WrestleVotes on Twitter: “The upcoming 11/22 Survivor Series PPV will be built around the 30th Anniversary of The Undertaker, including him making a live appearance on the show. A source states as of now, The Undertaker will not be wrestling at the event.”
It seems if The Phenom were to appear on the show in November, he wouldn’t be fighting, despite the rumour that the event will be centered around Undertaker’s 30th anniversary.
The celebrations for said anniversary begin this weekend with the premier of the WWE network series “30 days of the Deadman.” The first of five episodes airs Sunday, October 25, with the final episode set to air on November 22, the same day as the PPV Survivor Series.
Coincidence? We think not.
There have been other rumours circulating about the return of The Deadman, including a rematch with fellow WWE legend John Cena. Nonetheless, The Phenom’s legacy will be honoured in the coming weeks, with an appearance at Survivor Series 2020 seeming the perfect culmination to The Undertaker’s illustrious 30-year career.
