This weekend, Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to take on Justin Gaethje for the lightweight title at the UFC 254 event and, as you can imagine, Conor McGregor is somehow embroiled in the controversy in the build-up to this fight. With just a week to go before Khabib and Gaethje come toe-to-toe on Fight Island, Abu Dhabi, McGregor has taken to Instagram to throw his two pence into what is bound to be an exciting bout. Following the face off, The Notorious hopped onto his Instagram and posted a photoshopped image to his 37 million followers, with the photo itself attracting over one million likes. "Look out! It's the Gucci Mink Pimp on his Lamborghini yacht," McGregor told his followers with an edited picture of himself riding a jetski, in the distance, between Khabib and Gaethje. While on the other hand, the second image showcases the bruised face of a member of Khabib's entourage. If you cast your mind back to October 2018, you'll somewhat vaguely remember a certain Dagestani fighter leaping over the Octagon and into the crowd, which resulted in a mass brawl. Amongst the comotion, McGregor got into an altercation with a handful of Khabib's brothers, who also act as his loyal entourage. The bruise that was showcased on McGregor's Instagram was apparently caused by Conor himself and by posting this reminder to his millions of followers, this may ruffle the Dagestani's feathers. From both a business and showman standpoint, McGregor will certainly be keeping a close eye on this bout - with 'The Notorious' undoubtedly wanting to fight the victor. However, setting up another tie in the UFC might prove quite the challenge for McGregor.

Recently, 'The Notorious' has seemingly severed ties with UFC president Dana White, after releasing a string of private texts on social media.

These messages indicated that White held McGregor back from competing, while White was furious that these conversations were released and said that McGregor had broken 'man-code'.
