Leeds United enjoyed an excellent summer transfer window.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side were preparing for life in the Premier League and invested as such.
No fewer than eight players arrived as the club looked to build a squad capable of not only surviving but also competing in the top-flight.
Rodrigo arrived from Valencia as the most expensive acquisition at £27m, and he has been joined by centre-backs Diego Llorente and Robin Koch, wingers Raphinha and Helder Costa, goalkeeper Illan Meslier, and centre-forward Joe Gelhardt. Left winger Jack Harrison came in on loan from Manchester City, too.
And Leeds have thrived in the Premier League so far.
After a breathless 4-3 defeat to champions Liverpool, they beat Fulham by the same scoreline, dispatched Sheffield United 1-0, and drew 1-1 with Manchester City before their weekend defeat to Wolves.
And it seems they are still identifying targets to strengthen Bielsa’s squad.
Calciomercato reports that there are a number of clubs looking at signing Lovro Majer from Dinamo Zagreb, including Leeds.
Borussia Dortmund, Fiorentina, Valencia, Sevilla, and AC Milan are also credited with an interest in a player who has been compared with Real Madrid star Luka Modric.
Majer is just 22 and can play as both an attacking midfielder, in the No.10 role, or in central midfield.
Capped 14 times by Croatia, Majer has 46 appearances for Zagreb to his name and has scored six goals, while registering 10 assists.
He has a contract until 2023 and the report states that he is ready to make the next step in his career and join a club in a more competitive league.

The idea of Majer, a genuinely exceptional young talent, linking up with Bielsa is nothing short of mouthwatering.
The comparisons with Modric are merited; this is a player who has a low centre of gravity and both an eye for a pass and the ability to strike the ball with exceptional technique.
Leeds have a No.10 of similar stature in Pablo Hernandez but he is ageing and bringing in Majer would replace him at a stroke.
At the age of 35, he could impart some genuine wisdom on the youngster too.
This is a deal Leeds should try to do, but they will face some pretty hefty competition to win his signature if the report is to be believed.
