Tottenham enjoyed a particularly busy summer transfer window.
Seven new faces made the move to north London as Jose Mourinho set about trying to get the club back into the top four of the division.
Among those who joined the club were Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Sergio Reguilon, Gareth Bale and Joe Rodon.
But while incomings were the name of the game, one major outgoing was perhaps closer than people realised.
Valued at £36m by Transfermarkt, Tanguy Ndombele endured a frustrating first season with Spurs.
The midfielder struggled to settle and didn't seem to be a favoured part of Mourinho's plans when he took over as manager.
According to reporter Fabrizio Romano, it was the decision of Daniel Levy to keep him at the club and work with him to try and fulfil his potential.
Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Romano said: "He (Ndombele) had a terrible situation last season, he was not the real player we knew. [However,] we have to say congrats to Daniel Levy – the key man in the situation of Ndombele was Daniel Levy.
“According to our info, Mourinho was ready to say, ‘you can leave the club this summer, no problem’. He was ready to let him go. [However,] Daniel Levy always said, ‘we paid €60 million for this player from Lyon one year ago.
"I won’t sell this player for less than €60 million and I want this player to show his skills here at Tottenham’.
“So, that’s why he’s staying, that’s why he’s happy right now. Also, the situation with Mourinho is improving day by day, they have a good feeling right now.
"So, congrats to Tottenham, congrats [to] Danny Levy, and I am convinced the player is not moving [in] January, we will see next summer, but about January – he’s not moving, he’s not going anywhere. He’s so happy at Tottenham.”

It's been a tough start to life at Tottenham Hotspur for Tanguy Ndombele.
Considering he's the club's record purchase, things just haven't quite worked out for him so far.
But that doesn't mean that they won't.
We've already seen that he's very capable of becoming a top player for the club, the main thing is just about getting his consistency.
For whatever reason Jose Mourinho doesn't seem to have taken to him, but given the quality that he has I'm sure that will change in time.
If it does then Spurs will have one heck of a player on their hands.
