PlayStation owners are set for a real treat following news that they will be able to play a brand-new zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War from next month for an entire year.
The latest Call of Duty is set to be available on November 13, with fans counting down the days until they can get their hands on the much-loved game. It will be accessible for PlayStation, Xbox and PC users, but those with a PlayStation can expect to be hit with another excuse to buy it.
That is according to a recent leak reported by Charlie Intel, which indicates that PlayStation gamers will be able to play the zombie version of the latest edition until next November.
The news was seemingly revealed by mistake by PlayStation. The world's leading games console were meant to be teasing a trailer of updates made to Fallout 76 Steel Dawn, but appeared to use the wrong video file.
Instead, they showed a trailer for Black Ops: Cold War mode Zombie Onslaught, with a countdown clock which will run until November 1, 2021.
PlayStation and Call of Duty teamed up five years ago, meaning that it is not a major shock to see PS4 and PS5 users being given added content compared to those with an Xbox or PC.
PS4 enthusiasts were recently allowed to play a closed alpha of Black Ops: Cold War, whilst they were also the first ones to play the beta version.
With the PS5 being released in a matter of weeks, this latest development looks to have provided one more reason for players to get their hands on the console.
However, it should be pointed out that aside from Zombie Onslaught, the remaining maps and zombie modes associated with Black Ops: Cold War are expected to be available to all users across all platforms.
