Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed an excellent summer.
Jose Mourinho was adamant that he wanted to rebuild the Spurs squad into a side that was capable of winning trophies, and he's certainly done that.
Seven new players arrived in north London, including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Gareth Bale, Carlos Vinicius and Joe Rodon.
But with so many incomings, it was inevitable that there would be outgoings.
Several players have been linked with a move away, but none more so than Danny Rose.
The full-back has fallen way down the pecking order in north London since Mourinho took charge of the club, meaning that an exit is inevitable.
Rose's contract expires next summer however there has been talk of an early termination of his deal following the decision to exclude him from the club's 25-man Premier League squad.
But according to Alex McLeish, it's the defender who holds the cards in this scenario.
Speaking to Football Insider, McLeish said: “I don’t know Danny, I don’t know what he’s thinking but we have seen it before, where players have stayed on until their contract is finished and been fully paid.
“If it’s right for the player to go then only he can decide that. I think Danny is the one that’s in charge of this decision now.
“It will be interesting to see whatever he finally does and you have to respect whatever decision he makes.
“We’ve seen it all too often in the past where players stay on until the end of their contracts and that is their right and their prerogative.
“Some would take a stance and say: ‘Well, is it not better getting out there and getting a new team? Make sure your money isn’t being depleted and get your career going again.’ There’s those arguments.”

Danny Rose will be hugely frustrated with his current situation.
The full-back is a player that is fully capable of playing at the highest level, but unfortunately he's not getting that opportunity.
It is evident that his time with Tottenham Hotspur is over, but his career is not.
Rose needs to move away from north London as soon as possible in order to start playing football again.
At the age of 30 he has plenty to offer still, and I'm sure that plenty of clubs in the Premier League and Championship would be keen.
