Survivor Series is one of WWE's 'Big Four' pay-per-view events.

It's traditionally the one time of year that superstars on the SmackDown and RAW brands can go head-to-head inside the ring.

With the 2020 draft taking place earlier in October, the new rosters have thrown up the potential for some huge matches.

One of those dream bouts reportedly being planning involves the two biggest stars in the company.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre could go head to head with the Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The respected wrestling journalist has suggested that there 'is talk' of the pair facing each other at Survivor Series.

"Look at that babyface roster, literally Roman Reigns, they got to keep doing this Jey Uso thing because they got nothing," Meltzer said.

Orton doesn't have many babyfaces to fight in WWE

"There is nobody for Roman Reigns to face. I know there is talk of Roman and McIntyre for Survivor Series."

Now, that would be an absolutely huge match.

There's no doubt that Reigns and McIntyre are the two biggest stars in WWE right now.

Reigns and McIntyre could go head-to-head

If there was any time for Vince McMahon to pull the trigger on a massive bout, it would be now.

As Meltzer suggests, the SmackDown roster isn't exactly stacked with top babyfaces right now, so seeing Roman feud with someone other than Jey would be refreshing.

However, it's important to note that this is nothing more than a rumour at this point.

Reigns and Orton is just rumour at this point

Melzer's comments have come ahead of Sunday night's Hell in a Cell PPV, where Reigns and Orton both put their championships on the line.

There's a chance WWE will swerve us by having one - or both - lose their belts. But if both men successful defend, as is expected, they could be on course to meet at Survivor Series next month.
