Arsenal succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Leicester City on Sunday evening.Mikel Arteta's side went into the game knowing a win would propel them into the Premier League top four. And they thought they had netted the opener when Alexandre Lacazette headed home, only for Granit Xhaka to be ruled in an offside position. The Gunners struggled to break Leicester down, who sent Jamie Vardy on with just over half-an-hour remaining. And Vardy, who has a brilliant record against Arsenal, netted the winner with 10 minutes remaining. One man who did not have a good day for the home side was Lacazette.Alexandre Lacazette missed a sitter against LeicesterThe Frenchman was unlucky that his header early on did not count. But, he missed a golden opportunity later on in the first half to give his side the lead.Kieran Tierney sent in a delightful cross from the left and all the former Lyon player had to do was head the ball into the net.But he failed to make necessary contact with the ball with the goal gaping. It could be argued he was put off by Christian Fuchs' high foot. But, regardless, it was a very poor miss and you can watch it below:

Arsenal supporters have been very critical of the 29-year-old on social media.

Some have even compared him to Marouane Chamakh, which may be a little harsh...

So much was expected of Lacazette when he joined the club from Lyon.

But he hasn't lived up to expectations.

Now 29, it may be time for Arsenal to cash in while he's in his prime and still retains some value.

Arsenal are now in 10th, having picked up three wins and three losses from their first six games.

They will go into the bottom half if rivals Tottenham manage to defeat Burnley on Monday night.
