The night belonged to Marcus Rashford as Manchester United blew away RB Leipzig in the latter stages of their Champions League clash. The Red Devils recorded a 5-0 triumph thanks to the England international scoring a 15-minute hat-trick late on, having only been introduced with less than half an hour to play. Mason Greenwood, starting in the 22-year-old's place, had opened the scoring, timing his run well to latch onto Paul Pogba's ball into the box. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have been looking for that killer instinct to finish the game off, and who better to deliver it than Rashford. For his first, the forward played onto a through ball and took his finish excellently. Within four minutes, he'd made it a brace, taking a couple of touches through Leipzig's defence and blasting it into the bottom corner with his right foot. It left Rashford on the cusp of his first ever hat-trick for United's senior side, and what better opportunity to seal it than with a penalty. However, when the referee penalised Leipzig in the final minutes, he opted to let Anthony Martial score from 12 yards instead.
It initially looked like Rashford was going to take it himself, placing the ball on the penalty spot before walking away and handing the duties over to his teammate.
It's probably not news to anyone that this young man has quite the generous spirit...
Luckily, he wasn't to be denied his treble as he executed his final chance of the night with composure.
