Both Liverpool and Manchester United enjoyed wins in the Champions League this week.
Liverpool registered a 2-0 win over FC Midtjylland on Tuesday thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah on Tuesday night.
The following evening, United thumped RB Leipzig 5-0 at Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford came on in the second half and bagged a hat-trick, while Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial also got themselves on the scoresheet.
Aside from Rashford, who can do no wrong right now, United fans were also full of praise for Brazilian midfielder Fred.
The South American has shown in recent times that he’s a man for the big occasions, and was fantastic once again on Wednesday.
“Superb again and is nigh-on undroppable,” the Manchester Evening News, handing Fred a 9/10 rating, said of the midfielder. “Fred was urgent from the start and his tenacity sparked the swift move United opened the scoring from.”
Following his talismanic performance, Fred was interviewed by Brazilian outlet Esporte Interativo after the match.
And before the interview started, Fred couldn’t help but chuckle at the interviewer’s resemblance to Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.

This is Fred Caldeira, the journalist in question. And that is one heck of a moustache, in fairness.
This was the second Champions League night in a row that poor Fred (the journo) had been laughed at by a famous football personality.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp first pointed the similarity out on Tuesday.
Fred took the jibe in good spirit, responding: “And I still have a girlfriend, surprisingly!”
