Domestically, however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are in 15th place and are yet to claim three points on home soil.
The Gunners come into the game having lost three of their previous four league games, so there is plenty at stake in a fixture that has thrown up some iconic moments to cherish in years gone by.

Left-wing-back: Bukayo Saka
The Bukayo Saka hype train continues to travel at frightening speed and rightly so.
Though he is a left-winger by trade, Saka has seamlessly slipped into a wing-back role at Arsenal and deserved his recent call-up to the England squad.
It was a narrow call over Luke Shaw following his eye-catching opening to the season, while Kieran Tierney's attacking instincts are not quite as natural as Saka's to earn a place in this position.
Central-midfield: Thomas Partey
We've seen enough of Thomas Partey in action at Atletico Madrid to know Arsenal are on to a winner here.
The Ghana international is both a telepathic reader of the game and a flawless technician in possession of the ball, so his presence here was something of a no-brainer.
It will be intriguing to see how his career develops in north London.
Central-midfield: Fred
Paul Pogba got the nod in our previous combined XI featuring United but it was difficult to ignore Fred's display in the Champions League this week.
The combative Brazilian's time at United has been something of a slow burner, with inconsistency plaguing the early phase of his stint, but he's now firmly a part of the Old Trafford furniture.
Whether he's scuttling across the turf to retrieve possession or looking to dissect a forward-thinking pass, Fred conducts himself with confidence and a smattering of panache.
The fact he is left-footed also gives him an advantage here in partnership with the right-footed Partey.
Attacking-midfield: Bruno Fernandes
Say no more.
Bruno Fernandes has picked up where he left off last season by notching four goals and providing four assists from just eight appearances in all-competitions.
The real deal in between the lines of midfield and attack, Fernandes is quickly establishing himself as one of the world's best in his position.
Centre-forward: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may not have started the season in the prolific vein we've come to expect from him, but there's no doubt he warrants his position here.
The Gabon international has 55 goals and 13 assists from 91 Premier League appearances despite often playing from the left rather than through the middle.
A natural goal machine with an appetite for creativity in the final-third, this was a comfortable selection to make.
