There are plenty of Premier League clubs currently in need of quick-fixes.

Liverpool may have to acquire a new centre-back following injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho, while Manchester City could do with a new back-up striker for rest of the 2020/21 campaign.

This season's hectic schedule is already seeing injuries pile up across the continent, meaning these clubs may have to start eyeing up free agents rather than wait until January.

These players are not contracted to a club and are therefore free to move at any given time, but are any that currently fall into this bracket worth even glancing at?

In short, yes. While the free agents available at the time of writing are not world-class superstars, a hefty number of them could do a stellar job at a top side.

Sturridge anyone?
