Eden Hazard scored his first Real Madrid goal in 392 days against Huesca - and it was an absolute stunner.

The Belgian lined up an effort from 25 yards and let rip with an unstoppable left-footed effort which flew past Andres Fernandez in the Huesca goal to give Real Madrid a 1-0 lead.

It was only Hazard’s second goal in a Real shirt since his big-money move from Chelsea in the summer of 2019.

The 29-year-old has struggled with injury problems since his move to the Bernabeu with even his weight being called into question.

But was this the goal - and performance - that will see Hazard turn his Real Madrid career around?

As agreed before kick-off, Hazard played 60 minutes during the 4-1 victory. And it was a very promising display.

Encouraging - that’s for sure.

After helping Real come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek, Hazard admitted he’s happy just to be back playing football again.

"I'm here to play football, so after two or three months off of the pitch, I'm so happy,' he told CBS.

'I just want to play football. That's why I'm here. It's like three points, but it's not three points. We showed great character because to be 2-0 down, with just five minutes to play, I think we could score one more.

"I could score one more, but I missed, but it felt like three points, like a victory."

Meanwhile his manager, Zinedine Zidane is pleased that the winger is back fit once again.

"Hazard is fine now. We are happy. His feelings are good. Everything is positive," Zidane said.

"The idea is that Hazard is with us. Then we will see how we manage his minutes. The important thing is that he is well and well prepared."
