Arsenal put in a Herculean shift to secure victory over Manchester United on Sunday night. To say wins at Old Trafford don't come along often for the Gunners would be the mother of all understatements because this weekend marked their first in the league for 16 years.Yes, that's right, we're talking about a time where a young Emmanuel Adebayor was scoring the winner and United boasted a starting XI featuring Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Man Utd 0-1 Arsenal

But alas, after nearly a decade and a half of frustration, the Gunners more than deserved the three points they extracted from the 'Theatre of Dreams' with their 1-0 victory.

It was frankly miraculous that Mikel Arteta's men didn't reach the half-time break with an opening strike, but the goal they so richly deserved came from the penalty spot on 69 minutes.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang delivered the deadly touch from 12 yards, sending David de Gea the wrong way, before Arsenal weathered the storm to reach the final whistle with a clean sheet.

Impressive display from Elneny

And there were plenty of superb individual performances for Arteta to be proud of with summer signings Gabriel and Thomas Partey proving particularly impressive against the Red Devils.

However, there was also a fantastic display from a player who feels like a new signing for Arsenal without actually being one and it came from none other than Mohamed Elneny.

You'd be forgiven for thinking Elneny's Arsenal career was over when he was loaned out to Besiktas last season without much fanfare, but the Egyptian has played brilliantly since his recall.

Elneny's insane pressing vs Man Utd

The win over United was no different and a clip of Elneny's indefatigable efforts even went viral on Twitter with user @DomC0801 highlighting his remarkable work rate in stoppage time.

It's not difficult to see why the 20-second clip has amassed thousands of retweets when you see Elneny dashing around the pitch like a Duracell bunny, so be sure to check it out down below:

If that's not the effort you want from an Arsenal player, I don't know what is.

GIVEMESPORT's Kobe Tong says

Look, don't get me wrong, people are going way too far with claims that Arteta is leading some sort of life-changing revolution at Arsenal.

Trust me, there are no shortage of issues at the Emirates Stadium and they're a long way away from challenging for a Champions League place, never mind having an outside shout at the title.

But... all that being said, you've got to credit Arteta for the incredible attitude he's instilled in his players when it comes to facing the biggest teams.

It doesn't shock me in the slightest that Arsenal have finally ended their top six hoodoo because the tactical shrewdness Arteta has displays in high-profile games throughout 2020 has been superb.

And there can be no better demonstration of how willing the players are to fight for him than Elneny looking as though he was embarking on a marathon when many would have been exhausted.
